The protocol is informed by the science behind fasting-mimicking diets, which aim to activate key metabolic and cellular repair processes without the risks of complete food deprivation. In Dr. Queler’s practice, this approach is used intentionally and selectively as a short-term therapeutic tool to support healing, not casually or without medical oversight.

This 5-day, medically supervised fasting-mimicking intervention is used as a short-term metabolic tool to help reduce inflammation and support the biological processes involved in healing. By temporarily shifting the body into a controlled fasting state, the goal is to create the internal conditions needed for repair, while protecting essential nutrients and lean muscle.
